Corfe Castle is more than just a historic Castle! Beyond the iconic ruins, the village is home to three delightful museums that bring history to life. Each museum offers a unique glimpse into the heritage of Corfe Castle and the Isle of Purbeck.

The Corfe Castle Town Trust Museum is located just off the village Square and offers a glimpse into the local history of Corfe Castle and the Isle of Purbeck.

The Swanage Railway Museum is located behind the Corfe Castle railway station and include photographs, equipment, signage and history of the restoration of the railway.

The Purbeck Mining Museum is located at Norden near the Purbeck Park and Ride and is dedicated to the history and heritage of Purbeck Ball Clay mining and it’s industrial narrow gauge railways.

All three museums are free to visit with donations greatly received. Opening times can vary throughout the year, so please always check before visiting.
