Join us in our virtual Hot Air Balloon as we travel from Wimborne to the Arne Peninsula, which juts out into the southern part of Poole Harbour.

We will find out about this important RSPB nature reserve, the rare birds that are protected here and the other creatures that can be found on the Arne Peninsula, including the UK’s rarest lizard… a “green dragon”.

We will also look at the history of this part of the Poole basin…. its connection to one of the Industrial Revolution’s most successful companies ….

And how and why this landscape of lowland heath is so special, and what is being done to look after it….

slowwmo is a CIC started to help everyone make connections with the past and the present, admire the beautiful landscapes and wildlife, and find out about the people in the Corkscrew area and their connections with each other, and with you.

Come and explore with us in our virtual hot air balloon and be inspired.
