December 17th 2021: Zoe Squirrell: An International Para Dressage Dream
Zoe is a local dressage rider who as a disabled athlete faces some unique challenges. Accessing her sport can be difficult at times, but she tries not to let this stop her and focus on finding ways to make her dreams a reality, so much so that she has recently started to represent GB at international Para Dressage.
She has left sided hemiplegia, a form of cerebral palsy, and nystagmus, a visual impairment. These disabilities mean that she struggles with mobility, balance and coordination alongside having limited distance and peripheral Zoe was also one of the winners of last year’s Corfe Library Writing Competition. Come and hear Zoe’s story.
