In the pottery classes, we aim to build confidence, encourage experimentation and create a space that is welcoming and inspiring. Anyone can attend the pottery classes, they are suitable for all abilities.

Beginners will be taken through the various hand-building and glazing techniques (not throwing on the potters wheel). If you’ve done pottery before, or if you prefer, you’re free to work on your own ideas and develop your skills further.

All the materials that you need are provided and are inclusive in the price of the pottery class (which you can pay weekly or termly).

You’ll have the opportunity to use different types of clay (including stoneware, raku, craft crank) and there are more than 60 brush on glazes to choose from, over 40 under glazes, oxides and a variety of coloured slips if preferred.

Pottery Class Details
Choose your preferred day and let me know – spaces fill quite fast, so it’s best to book in advance. You’ll attend classes for 6 weeks on your preferred day, but if you miss a session, you can make it up on a different day.

Day & Time: Choose a Monday, Thursday or Friday 10am – 1pm (term time only)
Location: Furzebrook Studios, 52 Furzebrook Road, Wareham BH20 5AX

Pottery Class Fees: £27.50 per session if you pay for a half-term (6 weeks) or £30 per session if you pay weekly (inclusive of all materials, half-term payers take priority).

The pottery studio is at Furzebrook Studios, located just outside of Wareham. It’s very easy to find and has lots of car parking space.
