Join Burngate Purbeck Stone Centre for talks and demonstrations on the heritage skill of stone carving in the context of Corfe Castle and Purbeck. Have the opportunity to get a hands on feel for stone carving and Purbeck stone. Our tutors will demonstrate the technique and then give you the chance to add to a section of a piece being made over the weekend by our visitors*
*Safety First: Goggles will be provided / closed toed shoes must be worn. No sandals
Event ticket prices: This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
Suitability: This is a family friendly event
Meeting point: This event will take place in the Outer Bailey of the castle
What to bring and wear: Please wear suitable for exploring a ruined castle. For the ‘have a go’ session closed toed shoes must be worn. No sandals.
