The Bankes Arms Hotel, Corfe Castle

Introducing the Bankes Arms Hotel.

A 16th century hotel with beautiful garden, bar, restaurant, offers views of the Castle and Heritage Steam Railway.

Family owned and run, the Bankes Arms Hotel is a friendly boutique hotel in the heart of Corfe Castle, providing wonderful hospitality, great service and excellent food and drink.

The Bankes Arms is a perfect place to relax when visiting the village and castle or a convenient stop off point while exploring the Isle of Purbeck on foot, cycling or visiting via the steam railway. The hotel, bar and garden are also dog friendly.

The restaurant and bar offers fine dining with a diverse seasonal, vegetarian and vegan menu focused on delivering the best in modern British cuisine. Sourcing local Dorset produce from fresh organic vegetables to locally farmed beef, in the summer months they host outdoor events in the garden and serve a range of classic pub food from the grill and BBQ. The indoor dining areas are available for weddings and private functions, and the bar has a fine range of award-winning local beers and a comprehensive wine list.

The recently refurbished accommodation maintains unique period features and each room has its own individual character. Single, double and family rooms are available — all double room have en-suite bathroom, TV, internet and a view of either the village or the railway line.

The outdoor seating area and garden offers views of Corfe Castle and the famous Swanage to Corfe Heritage Steam Railway which runs at the back of the garden — the Corfe Castle Train Station is also less than a minutes walk from the garden, perfect for a quick drink and bite to eat before catching the train back to Swanage or the Purbeck Parking at Norden.
