Swanage Heritage Railway are pleased to announce that following a thorough risk assessment of the situation and additional control measures being implemented, Eddystone will be back in service from Wednesday alongside our DMU.
Eddystone will be at the head of ”The Royal Wessex“ which will depart Swanage at 10:30 and 12:00 and will then haul 3 more trips in the afternoon.

Enjoy an evocative taste of the ‘Royal Wessex’ express steam train that carried excited holidaymakers from London to Corfe Castle and Swanage in the 1950s and 1960s – thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers who have restored an historic 1930s Maunsell heritage carriage to its former glory.
