Today we had a lot of rain, combined with a high tide in Poole harbour the Corfe River burst it’s banks around 4pm and flooded the roads to Church Knowle, Studland and around the base of the Castle.
A number of cars became stuck and for a couple of hours there were long tailbacks to Swanage and Wareham. Fortunately the flood water receded around 7pm and the roads reopened allowing traffic to flow again.
