Dunshay Manor Open Days
Saturday 11 September and Sunday 12 September 10am-4pm
For most of the 20th century, Dunshay Manor, near Harman’s Cross, was home to a remarkable artistic family: George and Hilda Spencer Watson, and their daughter, renowned sculptor Mary Spencer Watson, who bequeathed the house to building preservation charity, the Landmark Trust. Newly restored and refurbished, this is a rare chance to see the house and find out more about the Spencer Watsons. Corfe Castle appears across the fields and the Swanage Steam Railway passes close by.
Please join us at this free open day to see the house restored to its former glory.
Free Admission and leaflets on the building’s history.
Please note: there is no parking on site. Please park in the carpark opposite Harman’s Cross Village Hall – this operates on an honesty box system with a suggested donation of £1 per car.
We are opening this building in association with Heritage Open Days.
Entry is free but your visit must be pre-booked via EventBrite (see link above)
