Chris Pine (perfect in this kind of role) is the tricksy, wise-cracking thief Edgin who teams up with the muscular, no-nonsense barbarian Holga (Michelle Rodriguez) and a rag-tag team of misfits to rescue his daughter from his traitorous ex-ally Forge (Hugh Grant – who, as in Paddington, is having great fun as a cowardly rotter). The action moves thick and fast, barely pausing for breath in a roller coaster ride of witty banter, clever action set-pieces involving magic and deception, and some outright silliness thrown in for good measure.

Film starts 8.45pm/9.00pm (depending on light levels). Gates open 8pm.
