The RBL at national level is planning celebrations for 100 years of essential support work for our veterans and their families.
In the village, we are planning the normal arrangements:
Monday Nov 1st – Poppies will be on sale. Please be as generous as possible.
Later Tommy will be moved from St Edwards to the church lawns, and at a convenient time our school children will surround him with named wooden crosses of the fallen.
Thursday Nov 11 – Remembrance Day
11:00 am – The 2 minutes silence will be observed in the village square.
Sunday Nov 14th – Branch wreath laying at Creech and Polar wood.
Sunday Nov 14th – Rememberence Sunday
10:20 am – St Edwards Church service followed by wreath laying at our War Memorial 9East Street).
3:30 pm – Tyneham Church Service
If the Covid situation changes, some of our details may also change.
The veterans and their families continue to be very grateful for our support.
